Big Baptist Biker Boys' Burnout

2nd June to Athlone

In Moira Baptist, there is a considerable number of Bikers. Some are professional riders but most use bikes as a hobby. They decided to use their Bikes for the Lord and on 2nd June organised a trip to Athlone Baptist Church. There they were involved in the sercvice and encouraged the believers in the small church there. The trip went ahead despite the very inclement weather (to quote one biker, a few "chickened out") and the team with friends and neighbours numbered over 30. They were joined outside Athlone by a number of Southern bikers making the totsal number arriving at the church 47.

Wilson shares a report below and here are some photos of the event.

Hi All !

A big thankyou to everyone for your prayers as we went to Athlone Baptist on our bikes on Sunday 3rd June. IT WAS WET WET WET !! Normally in those conditions only a handful of hardcore bikers would turn up, but praise to God as we had over 30 bikes turning out at 7am in the pouring rain! We made it to Athlone and had a great time of fellowship with Dominic, Carol and the Church.

We were really blessed in all aspects of our fellowship and by testimony given and God's message through Dominic. The little Church was full to capacity and beyond and the smell of damp leather was a real experience for the non bikers. Among the eventual number of around 36 bikers, there were around 6 or 7 unsaved and it was so good to have them with us and experience the real presence of God in that wee Church!

We made new contacts with biking brothers from Dublin and other parts, and it seems that this was just the first of many little mission trips, (hint - the next one may be in N.I.). Thanks to CMA, Unchained Gang, Ambassadors and Mototech (Brian Jones from MBC kindly did backup in his van - and was needed). And ladies, Joy Jones was the female representative, riding Brians Ducati !! We had one little incident on the return when one bike went down in the rain - thanks for prayer cover as the rider was uninjured, (bike was slightly injured). Unfortunately, the pigeon that hit Wilson's helmet at speed didn't survive.

There has been positive feedback already both spiritually and socially, and despite the weather, everyone really enjoyed Fellowship, Fun and Freedom. The Church was encouraged and we were encouraged and a really big thankyou goes to Dominic for sharing with a bunch of scary bikers!!!!

Where will the 5 B's go next - R U Man Enough?

Thankyou everyone for praying - God Is Good!!

The Big Baptist Biker Boys.
